Come and explore the world of German Riesling with Paul and Anna. 

The evening will focus on one of Germany’s greatest wine treasures, Riesling, in the beautiful private dining room at Fourth and Church.

As part of July’s nationwide festival  ‘31 Days of German Wine’, this mini masterclass will highlight the depth, beauty and versatility of this extraordinary wines produced from Riesling.

Over the course of the evening, we’ll explore six exceptional wines raided from our cellar, to include some of Germany’s most revered producers and vineyards. From a vibrant Kabinett through a single vineyard, and Grosses Gewächs finishing with a luscious aged Auslese. 

Each wine will be introduced by Anna and Paul, sharing the stories of why they selected these particular bottles.

The wines will be paired with a seasonal menu from Sam, plated to be enjoyed and shared around one large table; generous, relaxed and convivial, just as great wine should be enjoyed.

Expect exceptional wines, thoughtful food pairings, lively conversation and a room full of fellow wine lovers.

Join us for a special evening celebrating the wines of Passagem, hosted by Kit Weaver of Quinta de la Rosa and Passagem alongside Anna and Paul.

Kit’s family’s roots in the Douro stretch back more than 200 years. The family has been producing and shipping Port since the early 19th century and today owns Quinta de la Rosa, one of the valley's most respected estates. With a lifetime immersed in the wines of the Douro, Kit brings a wealth of knowledge, stories and passion for the region.

 
The Passagem project was born from a desire to showcase another side of the Douro. A collaboration between the Bergqvist family and acclaimed winemaker Jorge Moreira, Passagem focuses on expressive, elegant still wines from old vineyards in the Douro Superior.

 
Throughout the evening, we'll explore one of Portugal's most captivating wine regions, tasting four exceptional Passagem wines from the Douro Superior; the wild, dramatic eastern reaches of the Douro Valley, where some of the country's finest still wines are now being crafted.

 
We'll also delve into the region's rich history as the birthplace of Port, discovering how this remarkable landscape continues to produce world-class wines in every style.
Your ticket includes a guided tasting of four Passagem wines, with insight into the unique terroir of the Douro Superior, the story behind the Passagem project, and plenty of opportunity to ask questions along the way.

Throughout the evening, our full à la carte menu will be available, alongside a selection of special dishes inspired by some of the dishes tasted by Anna on her recent trip there, created exclusively for the event.
