Waiter
Fourth and Church is an independent wine-led restaurant and cocktail bar with a healthy retail offering located on Church Road in the affluent seaside neighbourhood of Hove.
Our team is small and friendly with big ambitions and there is always an opportunity to grow within the company.
We are looking for an ambitious and outgoing waiter to work alongside the Restaurant Manager, Bar Team and Owners waiting tables and looking after our many regular and new customers.
A friendly personality, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills are key. We also look for people with a genuine passion and interest in learning more about food and drinks.
Responsibilities
They provide excellent service from the initial welcome and taking of coats to when the guests walk out the door, ensuring quality of experience.
Providing excellent product knowledge to our guests
Communicating with the kitchen/back of house
Job Requirements
A sound knowledge and interest in all aspects of food service.
WSET qualifications, beneficial but not essential
An excellent communicator who can deliver exceptional service, engage our guests, and sell.
Flexible with availability and able to work evenings/weekends.
Strong communication and staying cool under pressure
A first-class work ethic and a passion for delivering high standards of service
Experience working in a fast-paced demanding environment
Naturally friendly and effective at building relationships across different age and social groups
Opening hours: Tuesday - Saturday 11 am - 11 pm
