We are looking for an enthusiastic Restaurant Manager to join us:
We are an award winning restaurant and wine bar in Hove and we will soon be refurbishing our current premises, with a view to expansion. We therefore have an amazing opportunity for a commercially astute, motivated Restaurant Manager to join our team and lead our front-of-house.
This is a new and exciting role for someone who wants to be part of and influence the development of a fabulous established restaurant business in Hove.
The ideal candidate will understand how to deliver amazing, personable hospitality and demonstrate a real understanding of current food, wine, cocktails and drinks trends.
Individuals with engaging personalities, who recognise all of the detail and can demonstrate a 'can-do' attitude, are a perfect match for us.
You must be passionate about delivering outstanding service to our customers whilst demonstrating great wine and food knowledge, you will have the ability to establish rapport and deliver high standards of service with a genuine welcoming manner.
In the first instance you will work directly with the business owners, with a primary responsibility of ensuring that the team are delivering a fantastic level of service to customers, maximising all restaurant, bar and retail revenue opportunities, whilst driving standards forward.
You should be familiar with working within an entrepreneurial, “independent” business environment and be able to demonstrate a forward thinking and strategic approach.
Strong planning and organisational skills with a focus on streamlining standards of operation and the ability to work independently, making decisions confidently whilst solving and resolving issues and problems as they arise are a must.

A minimum of 2 years management experience within a renowned restaurant, bar or similar environment
Your duties will be:
Organising the front-of-house
Seating and greeting customers
Promoting the bar and restaurant via social media, networking and third party websites
Training the FOH team
Managing stock levels, monthly stock taking and reporting
Assisting in planning and running promotional events
Ensuring that quality standards and health & safety controls are maintained
Increasing profits and maximising customer satisfaction
Fourth & Church is an independent restaurant and wine bar/merchant located opposite Hove Town Hall within the busy restaurant neighbourhood on Church Road.
We focus on selling interesting, great quality wines, spirits, vermouth and craft beers from small independent producers, to drink in house or to take home.
Our menu comprises of delicious award-winning small plates, charcuterie and cheese and is served all day from 12 noon -10pm, seven days a week.
